James has a passion for serving clients, working in collaborative team environments and supporting next generation initiatives. James has extensive experience with multi-generational tax planning impacting ultra-high net worth families, closely held businesses and executives. He works from a net worth, cash flow and debt planning perspective, as it interplays with clients’ compensation, single/restricted stock position, retirement and estate planning goals.

James brings more than 16 years of national tax office experience from top accounting and multi-family office advisory firms in the southwest. He is a 2020 CPA Practice Advisor 40 Under 40 Professionals honoree. The recognition identifies professionals who have emerged as future leaders in the tax and accounting profession. He is also a graduate of the AICPA Leadership Academy, Class 11, which is a national leadership development program for young CPAs, one of 36 selected for 2019.

James received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Masters in Taxation from W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Arizona, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP) as well as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) both issued by the AICPA. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), Arizona Society of CPAs (ASCPA), Valley Estate Planners, and Central Arizona Estate Planning Council.

James regularly volunteers for philanthropic organizations within his community and profession. He never passes up an opportunity for a conversion, new fitness experience, a coffee or lunch.
